Create a Meta business portfolio
A Meta business portfolio is required before you can connect WhatsApp. Here's how to check if you already have one, and how to create one.
You need a Meta business portfolio before you can connect WhatsApp to Woozi. It's Meta's own account for your business, separate from your personal Facebook login, and Woozi cannot create one for you, you set it up on Meta's own site first.
Before you start
- A Facebook account you can log in to. A business portfolio is not a Facebook account, it is linked to one.
Check if you already have one
If your business has ever used Facebook ads, a verified Facebook Page, or WhatsApp Business before, you probably already have one.
- 1
Go to business.facebook.com
Sign in with the Facebook account you use for your business.
- 2
Look for your business name
If it already appears in the business switcher or under Business settings, you have a portfolio, use that one and skip the rest of this guide.
Create one
If nothing showed up above, create a new portfolio:
- 1
Start a new business account
On business.facebook.com, click to create a business account.
- 2
Enter your business details
Your business name, your own name, and a work email address.
- 3
Add your business information
Your business address and website, if you have one.
- 4
Confirm your email
Meta sends a confirmation link, click it to finish.
Once it's created, continue to Connect your WhatsApp business number.
The name you give your business portfolio can become visible to customers later, for example as your WhatsApp display name. Use your real business name, not a placeholder.
Common questions
Can I use my personal Facebook profile instead of a business portfolio?
No. WhatsApp Business numbers are always owned by a business portfolio, never by a personal profile directly.
What if my business already has more than one business portfolio?
When you connect WhatsApp, Meta's window lets you pick which one to use. Choose the one your business normally uses for its Facebook Page or ads.
How long does this take?
A few minutes to create. Meta may separately verify your business afterward, which can take longer, but that doesn't stop you from continuing to connect WhatsApp.
